TOTILAC is the innovator brand in its class and the only premixed hypertonic lactate solution available in the Philippine market in three percent (3%) preparation. TOTILAC has been included in the Philippine National Formulary’s Essential Medicine List 8TH Edition 2017, released in July 2019.
According to clinical studies (Ichai C. Intensive Care Med 2009 Mar;35 (3)471-9), TOTILAC is safer and more effective than mannitol in achieving a prolonged decrease in intracranial pressure during acute episodes of intracranial hypertension.
